Gila Ridge High School is located in Yuma, AZ. The ceramics program at Gila Ridge consists of 4 sections of Ceramics I, 1 section of Ceramics II, 1 section of AP-3D, and 1 section of Unified Ceramics.   There are currently 149 students in the program who are finding their love of clay by developing a personal style in design and decoration.

This year their teacher Morgan Laguna transitioned the program into a choice-based ceramic classroom. In a high school choice-based ceramic classroom, adolescents are treated as ceramicists, and they are given the choice of selecting the subject matter, hand building method, and the techniques and processes that will best reflect their overall artistic idea or intent.
